Component Tips
CSM200 Drive Cage Midplane
  • Misaligned spring connectors on CSM200 midplanes can cause HDD signal integrity issues for StorageTek 5320/5220 and 6140 Controller trays and CSM200 Expansion trays. (FAB 1019584.1).
Disk Drives
  • Interposer cards on the SATA Drive have been damaged due to the loosening of drive bracket screws on the drive assembly. (FAB 1000958.1).
Power Supply
  • StorageTek 6140 Family contains incorrect UL power supply label (FAB 1019519.1).
RAID Management
  • Improper usage of RAID Management tools such as Santricity (NRM) and CAM (Common Array Management) to administer the Sun StorEdge 5210/5310 and Sun StorageTek 5320/5220 can lead to unplanned outages including data corruption and data loss. (FAB 1000787.1).
