Service Processor (SP) |
- The SP card is installed with Integrated Lights-Out Manager (ILOM) software.
- ILOM can be accessed via a Dongle cable assembly connection to the Universal Connector Port (UCP) on the front of the Sun Netra T6340.
- To connect to ILOM using the three connector dongle cable, use the RJ-45 serial connector.
- The Dongle cable assembly is provided with the Sun Netra 6000.
- The SP delivers:
- Direct manageability - same as Oracle rack-mounted servers.
- Full monitoring of blade by SNMP.
- Graphical user interface (GUI) and comprehensive command-line interface (CLI) emulating Advanced Lights Out Manager (ALOM)

- I/O is offered in two form factors:
- PCI Express ExpressModules (EM)
and
- PCI Express Network Express Modules (NEM).
- Each Sun Netra T6340 has four, x8 lane PCI Express links allocated to:
- Each NEM has one link assigned to each server module. All server modules
share the NEM. For example, Blade 0 has access to NEM 0/slot 0,
and NEM 1/slot 0. Blade 1 to NEM 0/slot 1 and NEM 1/slot 1, etc.
- EM slots are not shared between server modules. Each EM slot is
specific to one server module.
