Notes

1. The minimum Solaris operating system is Solaris 10 6/06 x64.
2. The battery changed from CR1225 to BR1225 in June 2007. (WO_35677)
3. Use a 9/64-inch Allen wrench to remove the heatsink shoulder screws.
4. The Module FRU includes four pre-greased heatsinks.
5. The Module FRU includes four alcohol wipes and four thermal grease syringes.
6. The Module FRU does not include heatsink mounting hardware.
7. Use shoulder screw 240-4717, spring 240-4762, and washer 240-4841.
8. Each syringe includes 0.5 Grams (@ 0.3ml) of ShinEtsu G751 thermal grease.
9. Each Opteron processor requires approximately 0.1ml of thermal grease.
10. Use a pre-greased heatsink or a thremal grease syringe, but not both.

Clearing CMOS Notes

1. Power off the X8420 and remove the blade.
2. Install a jumper at J5602, pins 3-4, reinstall the blade, and boot.
3. Power off the X8420, remove the jumper at J5602, pins 3-4, and reinstall the blade.
