NeWSprinter CL+ Operator Panel

NeWSprinter CL+ Cleaning-A

Cleaning-A is used to correct blurred characters, horizontal white streaks, and missing dots caused by clogged ink nozzles. The procedure takes 30-seconds to perform.

1. Press ON-LINE to turn the printer off-line.
   00 READY is displayed
2. Press MENU.
   PRINTING MODE is displayed
3. Press MENU.
   CLEANING is displayed
4. Press ENTER.
   CLEANING-A is displayed
5. Press ENTER.
   08 CLEANING, then CLEANING-A is displayed
6. Press ON-LINE to turn the printer on-line.

Cleaning-B is used when print quality is not improved after performing Cleaning-A two or three times.

1. Press ON-LINE to turn the printer off-line.
   00 READY is displayed
2. Press MENU.
   PRINTING MODE is displayed
3. Press MENU.
   CLEANING is displayed
4. Press ENTER.
   CLEANING-A is displayed
5. Press ENTER.
   CLEANING-B is displayed
6. Press ENTER.
   08 CLEANING, then CLEANING-B is displayed
7. Press ON-LINE to turn the printer on-line.

Flushing is used when graphics that use large amounts of ink show white streaks on the left side of the page where the print head starts printing. Flushing is also used when there are variations in ink density across a horizontal band.

1. Turn the printer OFF.
2. Press and hold ON LINE, ENTER, and the < keys.
   02 WARMING UP is displayed
3. Turn the printer ON.
   08 FLUSHING is displayed
4. Release the keys when bars appear in the display.
   00 READY is displayed

Test Print-A prints one page of color bars, printer settings, and all characters in each of the character spacing modes. Paper is required in the paper tray.

1. Press ON-LINE to turn the printer off-line.
   00 READY is displayed
2. Press MENU.
   PRINTING MODE is displayed
3. Press < or >.
   TEST PRINT is displayed
4. Press ENTER.
   TEST PRINT-A is displayed
5. Press ENTER.
   01 TEST PRINT is displayed
   00 READY is displayed after the test print is complete

Nozzle Check prints patterns used to check the nozzle.

1. Press ON-LINE to turn the printer off-line.
   00 READY is displayed
2. Press MENU.
   PRINTING MODE is displayed
3. Press < or >.
   TEST PRINT is displayed
4. Press < or >.
   TEST PRINT-A is displayed
5. Press < or >.
   NOZZLE CHECK is displayed
6. Press ENTER.
   01 TEST PRINT is displayed
   00 READY is displayed after the test print is complete
