Issue Description:
To ensure efficient repair of 8MB/400MHz UltraSPARC II CPU modules at
issue, specific error log information should be returned with modules
to the repair vendor. This will enable the repair vendor to implement
DPCO 246 for these modules.

This issue affects any of the following CPU modules which are replaced
as a result of system panics due to WP or EDP Ecache parity errors:

   Part Number Description Model
   ----------- ----------- -----
   501-5838 8MB/400MHZ Cache Sapphire-Black Sombra
   501-6008 8MB/400MHZ Cache Sapphire-Black Sombra
   501-6009 8MB/400MHZ Cache Sapphire-Black Sombra

Ecache parity error types:

   WP :[Ecache]Writeback Data Parity Error
   EDP:Ecache SRAM Data Parity Error

Should either of the two above errors result in CPU module replacement,
check the "/var/adm/messages" file for the appropriate error and note
the contents of the AFSR. The lower 32 bits of the AFSR should be entered
on the Defective Material Tag (DMT) for the module.

For example, with the following message string, enter "AFSR=00404000" onto
the DMT:

DPCO 246, released in June of 2001, implemented a new repair process for
these CPU modules. However, to be effective, it requires AFSR information
from modules returned for repair.
Implementation:
---
        | | MANDATORY (Fully Proactive)
         ---

         ---
        | | CONTROLLED PROACTIVE (per Sun Geo Plan)
         ---

         ---
        | X | REACTIVE (As Required)
         ---
Corrective Action:
The following recommendation is provided as a guideline for authorized
Sun Services Field Representatives who may encounter the above
mentioned issue.

Enter the 32 lower bits of the AFSR information onto the Defective
Material Tag for any 8MB/400MHz USII CPU modules returned as a result
of EDP or WDP Ecache parity errors. This information may be extracted
from system panic messages found in the "/var/adm/messages" file.
Comments:
None.

Implementation Footnote:
i) In case of MANDATORY FINs, Sun Services will attempt to contact
all affected customers to recommend implementation of the FIN.

ii) For CONTROLLED PROACTIVE FINs, Sun Services mission critical
support teams will recommend implementation of the FIN (to their
respective accounts), at the convenience of the customer.

iii) For REACTIVE FINs, Sun Services will implement the FIN as the
     need arises.
