BugId: 4792630 - 8+24 color not working properly on pfb.
Issue Description:
When multiple windows are used in an 8 bit window system, the Sun
XVR-100 Graphics Accelerator can show a colormap flash when moving the
mouse pointer from window to window. There is no operational impact to
the system.

This issue affects any XVR-100 Graphics Accelerator which has shipped
since the Revenue Release date of 30-Apr-03. If customers upgrade to
the XVR-100 (x-option purchase) they may face the same issue.

The Sun XVR-100 Graphics Accelerator has one hardware colormap. If an 8
bit application consumes all the colors in the colormap, another 8 bit
application will cause a colormap flash.

There are two methods for avoiding colormap flash:

   1. Using the -depth 24 command option to run the window system in
      24 bit mode.

   2. If you need both 8 bit and 24 bit visuals simultaneously, you must
add the appropriate software driver patches for your Solaris
      operating environment.
Implementation:
---
        | | MANDATORY (Fully Proactive)
         ---

         ---
        | | CONTROLLED PROACTIVE (per Sun Geo Plan)
         ---

         ---
        | X | REACTIVE (As Required)
         ---
Corrective Action:
The following recommendation is provided as a guideline for authorized
Sun Services Field Representatives who may encounter the above
mentioned problem.

. Running the window system in 24 bit depth mode.

     For example:

     % fbconfig -dev pfb0 -depth 24

Log out then log back in for this change to take effect.

No patch is needed for setting the depth to 24 bit.
24 bit depth performance can be slower than 8 bit depth mode.

. If both 8 and 24 bit visuals are required simultaneously,
patches specific to each OS must be installed. These patches
are currently pending and being tested by Product Engineering.
This FIN will be updated when the patches are released and
  available on SunSolve.

NOTE: If colormap flash issue is unacceptable, XVR-100 may be replaced
by PGX64 via PTS Escalation only.
