Issue Description:
Approximately 583 Sun Blade 150 systems normally equipped with 550MHz
CPUs were equipped with 650MHz CPUs configured to run at 550MHz. This
will not affect system performance, will not result in data loss, and
will not cause any system failures. This could be a service issue in
the event a CPU needs to be replaced.

This issue affects a specific group of Sun Blade 150 systems
manufactured in December 2002. The affected system serial numbers
are:

        -------------------------------------------------
       | Mfg. Date |	Serial Number Range |	Quantity |
       |-------------+-----------------------+-----------|
       | 03 Dec 02 | TT24920594 to 692 | 99 |
       | 09 Dec 02 | TT25010485 to 574 | 90 |
       | 11 Dec 02 | TT25030793 to 802 | 10 |
       | 12 Dec 02 | TT25040001 to 079 | 79 |
       | 17 Dec 02 | TT25120265 to 323 | 59 |
       | 17 Dec 02 | TT25120193 to 264 | 72 |
       | 17 Dec 02 | TT25120482 to 524 | 43 |
       | 18 Dec 02 | TT25130537 - | 1 |
       | 19 Dec 02 | TT25140041 to 150 | 110 |
       | 20 Dec 02 | TT25150231 to 250 | 20 |
        -------------------------------------------------

Affected systems will have one of the above serial numbers and will
have the "650MHz" speed silkscreened onto the CPU chip.

This issue occurs due to a shortage of 550MHz CPUs resulting from a
surge in demand in December 2002. The vendor reworked System Boards
so that 650MHz CPUs would work at 550MHz.

In the event that such a system requires CPU replacement, a 550Mhz
(part number F100-7912) CPU should be ordered as the replacement FRU.
Implementation:
---
        | | MANDATORY (Fully Proactive)
         ---

         ---
        | | CONTROLLED PROACTIVE (per Sun Geo Plan)
         ---

         ---
        | X | REACTIVE (As Required)
         ---
Corrective Action:
The following recommendation is provided as a guideline for authorized
Sun Services Field Representatives who may encounter the above
mentioned issue.

If CPU replacement for one of the above affected systems is necessary,
replace the CPU Module with P/N F100-7192. No System Board jumper
changes are needed when the FRU is installed.

Implementation Footnote:
i) In case of MANDATORY FINs, Sun Services will attempt to contact
all affected customers to recommend implementation of the FIN.

ii) For CONTROLLED PROACTIVE FINs, Sun Services mission critical
support teams will recommend implementation of the FIN (to their
respective accounts), at the convenience of the customer.

iii) For REACTIVE FINs, Sun Services will implement the FIN as the
     need arises.
