DOC: 806-3163-10 440 MHz UltraSPARC-IIi CPU Module Upgrade
FIN: I0528-1
Issue Description:
A 440MHz UltraSPARC-IIi CPU Module Upgrade kit was recently announced
and promoted for the Ultra 10 desktop system only, due to a limited
supply. However, the documentation that is shipped with the Ultra 10
440MHz CPU upgrade kit pn 806-3163-10, includes mention that the 440
MHz upgrade kit is also supported on the Ultra 5 desktop system. Thus,
customers who purchase an Ultra 10 440MHz upgrade kit, will read that
this upgrade is also supported on the Ultra 5.

Currently, there are plans to formally release the same 440MHz upgrade
kit for the Ultra 5 in the February 2000 timeframe. Engineering has
tested the 440MHz upgrade kit on both the Ultra 5 and Ultra 10 based
systems. As a result, Ultra 5 and Ultra 10 systems can be supported
with 440MHz UltraSPARC-IIi CPU Modules.
