Issue Description:
Customers and Field Service Representatives that install X-option add-on
IDE disk drives or who are replacing an existing Ultra 5 or Ultra 10 disk
drive FRU, will encounter the following error when attempting to use the
format utility from the systems console:

# format

Searching for disks...WARNING: /pci@1f,0/pci@1,1/ide@3/dad@1,0 (dad1):
corrupt label - wrong magic number

WARNING: /pci@1f,0/pci@1,1/ide@3/dad@1,0 (dad1):
corrupt label - wrong magic number

NOTE* Example screen output only. The number of messages will vary depend-
ing upon how many devices without labels have been installed.

Upon further investigation, it has become evident that NEW x-option and
FRU IDE disk drives are un-labeled.
Corrective Action:
Customers and Field Service Representatives that encounter the problem
of "corrupt label - wrong magic number" after installing add-on X-opton
IDE disk drives OR who replaces an existing IDE disk drive FRU, are
prompted to perform the following workaround:

1. After an IDE disk drive FRU or x-option IDE add-on drive has been
installed in the system (Ultra 5 or Ultra 10), follow the routine
service procedure to boot the system.

2. Invoke the "format utility" and observe the following:

*Example screen output for ONE IDE disk drive added to the system.

    # format

     Searching for disks...WARNING: /pci@1f,0/pci@1,1/ide@X/dad@X,0 (dadX):
corrupt label - wrong magic number

     WARNING: /pci@1f,0/pci@1,1/ide@3/dad@X,0 (dadX):
corrupt label - wrong magic number

    AVAILABLE DISK SELECTIONS:

       0. c0t1d0
          /pci@1f,0/pci@1,1/ide@X/dad@X,X

      *1. c0t1d0
          /pci@1f,0/pci@1,1/ide@3/dad@X,0

Specify disk (enter its number): 1

3. Then select the disk number appropriately, *in this case disk 1 is the
    newly connected disk.

    Selecting c0t1d0

4. Select the option "label" to label the selected drive.

Ready to label disk, continue? y

5. Confirm "y" for the above question.

*After "y" is specified a NEW label will be written to the drive.

6. At the "format" prompt enter quit.

    format> quit

7. Now that the IDE disk drive has been labeled follow routine service
procedures to partition the disk drive.

*The next time that the "format utility" is invoked, the "corrupt label-
wrong magic number" should not be evident if the IDE disk drive has been
 labeled correctly.
Comments:
Beginning May 1, 1998, all Ultra 5 and Ultra 10 hard drive x-options
will arrive from the factory pre-formatted, pre-partitioned, and pre-
labeled, and it will no longer be necessary to follow the above
instructions for partitioning, and labeling.
