Issue Description: 

The current OPENBoot PROM Flash Firmware on 200 MHz or faster model
Ultra Desktop platforms fail to generate a valid floppy eject pulse
(2.0 microsecond min).  Therefore, the floppy diskette may not be ejected
from the floppy drive when the eject command is issued from the "OK"
prompt.  No field problems have been reported as of July 29, 1997 and
only (1) unit has exhibited this problem in manufacturing's Initial
System Test(IST), however the problem can be duplicated in a
laboratory.  This problem has been observed, especially with new floppy
drives, P/N 370-3212-01, that meet the drive's specification.

Concern has risen in regards to new production builds as the old floppy
drive, P/N 370-2151-01, is being phased-out due to end of life (EOL)
and a new floppy drive, P/N 370-3212-01, is scheduled to replace the
old floppy drive.  Since the new Floppy drive will be appearing in
X-Options, which may be mated with the fast Ultra Desktop platforms
that contain the current OPENboot PROM Flash Firmware, this problem
maybe observed on those systems.

A Patch is available in the event that there is a need for this
functionality.

Corrective Action: 

Install Patch-ID# 105231-01 or higher, to enable the floppy drive to
eject the diskette from the drive when issued from the "OK" prompt on
the above mentioned Ultra platforms.

Make sure to follow the installation instructions in the README file
for the Patch.

Comments: 

This malfunction may not be observed on all systems, as some floppy
drives exhibit more robustness than others.  Most customers will not
perceive this as a problem because it does NOT occur at a Unix prompt
or during a file manager operation.

A new release of the Flash OPENBoot PROM Firmware will be issued in the
form of a patch, as in previous Flash Firmware updates, in the
September '97 timeframe to correct this issue.
