Issue Description:
When sliding out a Sun Fire V210 or V240 the rail slide stops may not
function properly which could cause the system to fall off it's rails.

Sun Fire V210 and V240 systems that shipped between May 15, 2003 and
July 30, 2003 are impacted by this issue. Systems that shipped on or
after Aug 4, 2003 are not impacted by this issue.

This issue only affects V210/V240 systems that are slid out of the rack;
once the systems are slid into the rack they will remain in place.

The Rack slide stop mechanism spring retainer can fail with the result
that a system could be extended past the outer stop position without
having to operate the rackslide release lever. The design has been
modified and this problem was corrected at the supplier as of August 4,
2003.

Corrective action was made available in manufacturing by dash rolling the
370-5707 rail kit from -01 to -02 via ECO# WO_27268 as of August 13, 2003.
Corrective action was made available in Sun Services by releasing the inner
rail kit (Sun p/n 370-6181-01) via ECO# WO_27268 as of August 13, 2003.
In addition, the MAL (minimal acceptable level) changed from -01 to -02
via LEAP 2349 which was released on August 21, 2003.

Implementation:

| X | MANDATORY (Fully Pro-Active)

 ---
| | CONTROLLED PRO-ACTIVE (per Sun Geo Plan)

Replacement Time Estimate:
0.25 hours
Special Considerations:
Plan on implementing this FCO at the same time as FCO A0214-2
in order to limit system downtime.

No onsite service should be provided for the Rail only FCO
implementation as rails are customer installable.
Corrective Action:
Replace the INNER SLIDERAILS in all Sun Fire V210/V240 systems,
identified in the Customer list above, with Sun p/n 370-6181-01.

Detailed Instructions for replacing the Inner Sliderails:
--------------------------------------------------------

1. Disconnect all cables from the rear of the system

2. Carefully slide out the system from the rack with caution in case
the rail stops are not working correctly

3. Place the system on a suitable work surface and remove the screws
securing the two INNER GLIDE rails from either side of the chassis. See
the "Sun Fire V210 and V240 Server Installation Guide (816-4825-11),
Chapter 2, pages 10,11 and 12 for a description and diagram of the rails.

4. Fit the replacement INNER GLIDE rails (F370-6181-01) to either side
of the chassis as described in the "Sun Fire V210 and V240 Server
   Installation Guide (816-4825-11), Chapter 2, pages 10,11 and 12.

NOTE: It is not necessary to replace the other parts of the SLIDE
ASSEMBLY or the CABLE MANAGEMENT ARM. Only the INNER GLIDE rails need
to be replaced.

5. Slide the system back into the rack and reconnect all cables.

6. The Sun Fire V210/V240 should be marked using a permanent pen or
marker write "ECO# WO_27268" on the back of the sytstem.

7. The defective INNER GLIDE rails should be scrapped.
