Issue Description:
SCSI transport soft retry errors could occur on Ultra 60 system running external
Ultra SCSI I/O devices. A typical error message for this failure would be as
follows:

 unix: WARNING: /sbus@b,0/SUNW,fas@3,8800000 (fas1):
unix: Connected command timeout for Target 14.0
 unix: WARNING: /sbus@b,0/SUNW,fas@3,8800000 (fas1):

 unix: WARNING: /sbus@b,0/SUNW,fas@3,8800000 (fas1):

When there is a Sun MultiPack connected to the onboard external Ultra SCSI port,
the system gives errors in the messages file.

Below is a sample of the errors that show up in /var/adm/messages:

This problem only appears when the Ultra 60 is connected to a MultiPack via the
system's external SCSI port AND configured as a raid system. During a file
transfer the Ultra 60 receives a disconnected timeout message. Device driver
traces indicate that REQs and ACKs were out of sync.

The root cause has determined the Linfinity SCSI terminators are causing jitter
on the REQ signal such that the pulse width was not meeting the SCSI specs, and
thereby causing the REQ signal not to be recognized by either the target or the
initiator.

Corrective action was implemented in Sun Manufacturing via ECO# WO_15048 on
April 5th, 1999, and in Enterprise Services via LEAP_1018 as part of the
implementation of FCO A0149-1.
Implementation:
---
  	| | MANDATORY (Fully Pro-Active)
	 ---

         ---
  	| | CONTROLLED PRO-ACTIVE (per Sun Geo Plan)
	 ---

         ---
  	| X | UPON FAILURE
	 ---
Replacement Time Estimate:
30 minutes
Special Considerations:
Corrective Action:
Upon failure replace 501-4450-10 (or below) with 501-4450-12 (or above).
Billing Type:
Warranty: Sun will provide parts at no charge under Warranty
Service. On-Site Labor Rates are based on how the
           system was initially installed.

Contract: Sun will provide parts at no charge. On-Site Labor Rates
are based on the type of service contract.

Non Contract: Sun will provide parts at no charge. Installation by
Sun is available based on the On-Site Labor Rates
               defined in the Price List.

Implementation Footnote:
________________________

i) In case of Mandatory FCOs, Enterprise Services will attempt to contact
all known customers to recommend the part upgrade.

ii) For controlled proactive swap FCOs, Enterprise Services mission critical
support teams will initiate proactive swap efforts for their respective
     accounts, as required.

iii) For Replace upon Failure FCOs, Enterprise Services partners will implement
the necessary corrective actions as and when they are required.
