Issue Description:
Ultra 60 systems with the 501-4450-11 motherboard, or the 501-4450-10
with Deviation sticker WO_14997, and 1GB of memory installed have a
high probability of experiencing undetectable data corruption.

This could lead to corrupted application results and unstable system
operation. All configurations using the affected motherboard have the
potential to experience such failures.

The -11 motherboards shipped on Deviation# WO_14799 in Ultra 60 systems
between February 24 and March 22, 1999 are affected. Manufacturing has
purged all -11 motherboards and stopped shipping the -11 motherboard as
of March 22, 1999 via Worldwide Stopship WW001#03564. No affected FRU
spares were ever shipped. All affected -11 motherboards were shipped
out of Newark, CA.

In March 1999 approximately 200 501-4450-10 motherboards that shipped
out of Linlithglow on Deviation WO_14997 which are also affected, and
should be replaced if encountered. Only 501-4450-10 motherboards with
the Deviation sticker, are affected.

Root cause, although still undetermined, has been addressed by cleaning up
a signal with the addition of a resistor-capacitor (RCNET,SMD,51OHM,27pf)
circuit (Sun p/n 150-2565-01) to pin 8 of SOIC at location U2104,K8J5. This
corrective action was implemented in Sun Manufacturing via ECO# WO_15048 and
ECO# WO_15086 on April 22, 1999, and in Enterprise Services via LEAP_1018.

The only systems exempted from this fix are Ultra 60 systems that have
completed the Manufacturing process, and shipped new with 1GB of system
memory installed (Sun Manuf P/N 603-3232-01).

The NetraT product is not affected as none were shipped with the -11
motherboard or with the -10 via the deviation.

Replacement Time Estimate:
30 minutes
Special Considerations:
Corrective Action:
Replace 501-4450-11 with 501-4450-12 (or above)

 or

Replace 501-4450-10 (with Dev sticker WO_14997) with 501-4450-12 (or above).
Comments:
Affected systems can be identified by their system serial number. On
the left side of the system, towards the front edge, is a white label
with the systems serial number. Sun authorized service providers
should be provided with affected serial number list. This file is
located on the following FIN/FCO Proactive Swap Webpage URL;
