Description
By default, the system will not be set up to display the diagnostic screen while booting. Instead a Sun Microsystems banner is displayed. For the purposes of troubleshooting it can be very helpful to view the diagnostic screen to see if there are any failures.

Steps to Follow
The following steps will enable the diagnostic screen during boot:

1.) Power system on.

2.) Sun Microsystems banner will be displayed.

3.) Enter "f2" immediately.

4.) Pheonix BIOS Setup Utility screen will be displayed.

5.) Use right arrow key to highlight "Main".

6.) Use down arrow key to highlight "QuickBoot Mode" and
minus key to change state to ?Disabled". This value will
cause the system to take a little longer to boot since
no tests will be skipped as they are in QuickBoot Mode.

7.) Use down arrow key to highlite "Boot-time Diagnostic Screen"
and minus key to change state to "Enabled". This will cause
the diagnostic screen to be displayed during boot.

8.) Use down arrow key to highlight "Summary screen" and the minus
key to change state to "Enabled". This will cause the system to
display the system configuration on boot.
