Description
In some situations an alarm card in a Netra CT system may hang.
The following steps can be used to diagnose the situation.

Steps to Follow
In order to run APOST and alarmdiag, connect to the alarm card, and type the following command:
cli> diagconf -d
which display the parameter (like OBP parameter, but it is for the alarm card only). And use:
cli> diagconf -s <commnd value>
to set the following parameters:
diag-switch=true
verb-mode=true
stop-on-error=true
diag-level=max
Then, power-cycle the alarm card, it will execute the APOST.
alarm2test is part of the SUNWvts. You can run alarm2test from the VTS menu
or directly from the command line. Both alarm2test and alarmtest can be
found in /opt/SUNWvts/bin.
To run POST, set the OBP parameter to the following:
diag-switch?=true
diag-level=max
and power-cycle the system.
At OBP, type:
ok> obdiag
to execute the OBDiag. There is a menu for OBDiag that you could slect specific tests to run.
