DISPATCH INSTRUCTIONS

WHAT SKILLS DOES THE ENGINEER NEED:(IS A SITE ENGINEER AVAILABLE?)
Nothing beyond basic partner training to be qualified as a Sun Service Delivery Partner.

DELIVERY REQUIREMENT:
Schedule with maintenance window within contractual terms.

Estimate AP Duration = 15 minutes

FIELD ENGINEER INSTRUCTIONS

Power Cord failed.

WHAT STATE SHOULD THE SYSTEM BE IN TO BE READY TO PERFORM THE RESOLUTION ACTIVITY? :

The Sun Fire V210 server has a single power supply therefore the system will required to be orderly shutdown and powered off.

WHAT ACTION DOES THE ENGINEER NEED TO TAKE:
Replace the bad power cord.

OBTAIN CUSTOMER ACCEPTANCE

WHAT ACTION DOES THE CUSTOMER NEED TO TAKE TO RETURN THE SYSTEM TO AN OPERATIONAL STATE:

Restart software applications per applicable administration guides to resume system operation.

PARTS NOTE:
Refer to the System Handbook for the country specific type of power cord.
