Goal

Instructions to remove a stuck cartridge from robotic hand in a C2 or C4 library.

Solution

Refer to the attached document, "Sun StorEdge C2 Autoloader Lodged Tape Removal" for complete instruction on how to remove stuck cartridge.

This procedure will work on the C4 library as well.

Note:
Great care needs to be taken to avoid damaging the hand or the flex cable assembly. Additional reference on cable and hand replacement are also attached.
