Goal

To provide information for customer, regarding remote support tool options which can be available for remote support of Sun VTL.

Solution

Sun VTL remote support tool options
  • SDP - A remote connection tool that provides a secure connection to the customer's VTL server. It requires an SDP server on the customer's site, and can connect with ssh, Santricity, and VTLconsole.
  • WebEx - A remote connection tool that provides a connection to the customer's VTL server via the Internet and a desktop on the customer's site, which can connect with ssh and VTLconsole.
  • Shared Shell - A remote connection tool that provides command line connections to a Sun VTL server. It requires connection to the Internet and some knowledge by the customer to setup a connection from the site of the VTL
