Goal

This instruction is intended for First Tech Touch process, and will guide FTT staff though the process of getting the vtl software build from the customer using the vtl console.

Solution


Steps to Follow
Getting the build number of the VTL software from the vtlconsole
  1. Ask the customer to access their vtlconsole and pick the vtlserver they have issues with.
  2. The customer will have to login to the vtlserver that they have picked.
  3. Ask the customer to select the vtlserver name from the tree on the left hand side of the screen.
  4. The customer will see a new screen that shows the general information about that vtl server.
  5. Ask the customer to select the Version Info tab at the top of the right section of the screen.
  6. The customer will see version info displayed on their screen.
  7. Ask the customer to locate the line directly below the Server Version: line and tell you the build number toward the end of the line.



This kb built to be used in the FTT process to aid FTT staff in getting information from the customer
