This document describes what to do to re-enable the network management port on ALOM+ systems after the connection has hung due to the switch, to which it is connected, having been power cycled. This behavior has been confirmed on systems attached to both Cisco 4000 and 6000 series chassis, using multiple copper network linecards and supervisor modules. CatOS 8.5 and IOS 12.2 are being used, ports are configured to auto negotiate port speed and duplex.When problem occurs serial access remains unaffected. It is not intended that this document be a comprehensive guide to resolving generic ALOM connectivity issues. Steps to Follow Network access can be recovered by following the steps shown below
