Description
This document describes how to confirm the firmware version, for a Sun Fire[TM]
V440 server, on-board LSI1030 SCSI RAID controller.


Steps to Follow
To confirm the current firmware version for Sun Fire V440 server onboard
LSI1030 SCSI RAID controller, use the following method:
# prtconf -vp | grep firmware-version

Below is an output example showing firmware version 1.03.07.00 :

# prtconf -vp | grep firmware-version
firmware-version:  '1.03.07.0'
^^^^^^^^^^ 

Note: Other methods for collecting the Firmware version such as grep'ing
messages or dmesg are unreliable can give confusing results due to changes
in Solaris[TM] 9 and Solaris[TM] 10. The above prtconf method is the only reliable
method.
