Goal

What is the specification for the TCP/IP customer interface connection?

Solution

Steps to Follow
The SL8500 library uses standard TCP/IP protocol over an Ethernet 10/100-baseT physical interface. This connection scheme supports Enterprise-level system attachments and uses a Host Software Component (HSC) to manage and communicate with the library. The SL8500 Library will auto-negotiate for half or full duplex and can use either. It is important to run at the highest possible speed which is 100 base/T full duplex. The unit will run very slow at 10 base/T half duplex.
