Description
This is a list of the mandatory platform-specific patches required for the correct operation of the Sun Fire[TM] T1000 server. The document points out that the patches described are not included in the current pre-install Solaris[TM] image.

Steps to Follow
The minimum required and supported OS version for Sun Fire T1000 is Solaris 10 Update 1 (1/06), for the latest supported OS refer to the Solaris Releases page: http://www.sun.com/software/solaris/get.jsp.

Solaris 10 Update 1 (01/06):

The following patch revisions or later, must be applied to Sun Fire T1000 running Solaris 10 Update 1:

Kernel patches: 118822-30 and 118833-24
FMA patch: 119578-22 (or later)
BGE patch: 122027-03 (or later)
mpt/raidctl patch: 119850-14 or later (for RAID support)
LSI firmware patch: 123456-01 (for RAID support)
System Firmware 6.2.4 (patch 123481-02)
/etc/system: no additional /etc/system entries

NOTE: Solaris 10 Update 1 (1/06), is the minimum OS level supported on the Sun Fire T1000 server with motherboard part number 501-7302(-01 to -06). See the T1000 Product Notes for details.

Solaris 10 Update 2 (06/06):

The following patch revisions or later, must be applied to Sun Fire T1000 running Solaris 10 Update 2:

Kernel patches: 118833-24
System Firmware 6.2.4 (patch 123481-02)
LSI firmware patch: 123456-01 (for RAID support)
/etc/system: no additional /etc/system entries

NOTE: Solaris 10 Update 2 (06/06), is the minimum OS level supported on the Sun Fire T1000 server with motherboard part number 501-7302(-07 and later). See the T1000 Product Notes for details.

The required patches are not included in the pre-installed software on the Sun Fire T1000 server. If the patches are missing from your server, download them from SunSolve[SM]. To determine whether the patches have been installed on you system use the showrev command for each patch number, for example:

 # showrev -p | grep "Patch: 119578"

NOTE: The mandatory patch levels should be applied and verified on the preinstalled image and every time when Solaris is reinstalled.

Internal Comments
The patch list is usually documented in the Sun Fire T1000 product notes, but it has been requested by engineering that it also be placed in Voyager. Reference the Sun Fire T1000 product notes and the PTS web page for the latest patch information:
