Description
This Technical Instruction lists the data that is required for troubleshooting software and hardware problems on the Sun Fire V1280/Netra 1280.

Steps to Follow
Collect the following data to troubleshoot:
1. Verbatim transcript of all output written to the system console leading
up to the failure.
2. Copy of /var/adm/messages file from the timeframe leading up to and
immediately following the failure.
3. Output of the following LOM commands:
	A) showsc -v
	B) showboards -v
	C) history
	D) date
	E) showresetstate -v
	F) showlogs
	G) showenvironment -v
	H) showcomponent -v
I) showeventreporting
	J) core dumps and panic messages, if applicable.
Note: The serial connection to the System Controller(SC) is also where all
of the diagnostic data, including SC POST output, is sent.
