Description
The purpose of this document is to prevent engineers from chosing the wrong FRU, when they need to replace the motherboard (system board) on Sun Fire[TM] T2000.

Steps to Follow
To find the correct FRU for the T2000 motherboard, you have to use the output from the 'showfru' command on the SC, and look for CPU Board.

sc> showfru
............
FRU_PROM at MB/SEEPROM
SEGMENT: SD
/ManR
/ManR/UNIX_Timestamp32: SAT AUG 12 19:50:09 2006
/ManR/Description: ASSY,Sun-Fire-T2000,CPU Board
/ManR/Manufacture Location: Sriracha,Chonburi,Thailand
/ManR/Sun Part No: 5017501
/ManR/Sun Serial No: PC06P3
/ManR/Vendor: Celestica
/ManR/Initial HW Dash Level: 01
/ManR/Initial HW Rev Level: 50
/ManR/Shortname: T2000_MB
/SpecPartNo: 885-0692-01
SEGMENT: FL
/Configured_LevelR
/Configured_LevelR/UNIX_Timestamp32: SAT AUG 12 19:50:09 2006
/Configured_LevelR/Sun_Part_No:          5411455  ===> This is the correct FRU !
/Configured_LevelR/Configured_Serial_No: P401UL
/Configured_LevelR/HW_Dash_Level: 01
...............
Be carefull, as the CPU Board part number is common to all motherboards (4, 6 or 8 cores). In this case, 501-7501 is generic part number for RoHS T2000 motherboards:
/ManR/Sun Part No: 5017501
The correct FRU Part Number is after the generic one, and in this case 541-1455 is the correct FRU PN for the 4-core 1.0GHz System Board in the SSH:
/Configured_LevelR/Sun_Part_No: 5411455
NOTE: On T2000, 'prtdiag' does not help to determine which MB is present on the server. It only lists the number of threads, which divided by 4 will give you the number of CPU cores. The number of cores can also be obtained from the SC:
sc> showplatform -v
SUNW,Sun-Fire-T2000
Chassis Serial Number: 0550NNN0UD
Domain Status
------ ------
S0 Running
CPU Cores available: 8
