Description
A field engineer discovered a "6" or a "b" on an System Controller's LED display.
Realizing this wasn't the normal state, he requested the resolution center to research this. The normal state of this LED display is "0" once the post and boot have completed.

Steps to Follow

If a CP1500 board is not updated to the proper Open Boot Prom (OBP) and SSCPOST version, then it will not respond properly as a F15K System Controller, but will have the characteristics of an off-the-shelf CP1500 board used in other Sun[TM] systems. Also note that the parameter post-on-sir was not available without the proper OBP version.

The proper OBP version (SCOBPimg) for the CP1500 is 3.14.6 and the post firmware version (SSCPOST) is available in document:

The 7-segment LED should display a lower case "b" (for booted).
