Contacting Oracle Support

Solution

Note: Customer must first contact Oracle Sales Representative to order the capacity upgrade, before local field engineering can implement upgrade.

Please refer to appropriate Conversion Instruction (C/I) document for details:

VTL (FLX280/380): VTL2 Documents
VTL+ 1.0 (6540): VTL+ 1.0 Documents
VTL+ 2.0 (6140): VTL+ 2.0 Documents

Other Notes:
1. Above links are Oracle internal only
2. SANtricity is the preferred method to configure arrays for VTL+ systems.  This is due to having all scripts written that only work with SANtricity.  However, CAM can be used to configure the newly added drives, but will have to be done manually one at a time, as no scripts are available for CAM.  And once the array is reconfigured using CAM, it cannot be later configured using SANtricity.  The config files will auto convert to CAM format, but cannot be converted back to SANtricity format, so all future maintenance will have to be done with CAM. This only applies to maintenance updates and configuration activity, either CAM or SANtricity can be used to "monitor" the arrays.
