Goal

This document is intended to provide information on connecting ACSLS to a Oracle VTL server

Solution

Steps to Follow
VTL does work with ACSLS Volume Access Control.
1. The VTL IP and an "access id" must be entered into the internet.addresses file.

- If VTL is in an HA configuration, use the heartbeat IP.
- VTL does not send a user id as the access id, so any name can be chosen for the ACSLS internet.addresses file. The VTL hostname is recommended to be used.

2. Use the "set owner" command to set Volume ownership using the "access id" defined above.

Also refer to the ACSLS Installation, Configuration and Administration Guide (ICAG) for detailed instructions on configuring a client host for Volume Access Control
