Goal

What does the status ONLINE-P indicate regarding a VTSS.
What is meant by the status ONLINE-P for a VTSS.
When I display the VTSS status using the VTCS command, it says the VTSS is ONLINE-P.

This ONLINE-P status may be seen in the VT D VTSS and VT D VTSS DET output.

Solution

The status ONLINE-P refers to "online pending".

When the command issued was VT D VTSS, ONLINE-P indicates the following:

  • The online process has started but has not completed on all hosts.  The VTSS may be fully online to some hosts and not others.

To see more detailed information about the status of the VTSS, please issue the command VT D VTSS DET on each host.  This will allow the user to determine on which host(s) the VTSS in question is showing ONLINE and which host(s) still show ONLINE-P.
