Goal

Can Drive be installed while the library is online?

Solution

Steps to Follow
You can install drives when the library is in operation. The card that monitors the drives,(HBT) has no interface with the operations of the library other then to let the HBC card know what drives are operational and present. After drives have been pushed into the drive bays and drives boot up, the drive will appear on the SLConsole after about 30 seconds, then the CSE can configure the drives. No downtime needed.
