Download the SCSI/Fibre ToolBox

Download current level of toolbox from the 'Tools' web site.

Create folders and download the drivers in their specific named folders.

Magma PCI Bus Extension drivers:

There is a new image in town. If you are re-imaging your CSE laptop with the new SUN standard image, be aware there is an issue with installing the Magma drivers.
DO NOT use the drivers on the Magma web site (3.3MB). These drivers have support for many different operating systems and your new Symantec Security System inside the new image does not play with them very well. Symptoms are,,, you loose your Network connections and also wipes out Thunderbird. The ONLY way to recover, is to re-image your laptop.

USE:
The drivers that are on the Tools web site. Engineering has worked with Magma to tune the drivers and remove the fluff so Symantec does not have a problem.

Note: You can use these drivers even if you are not re-imaging. They are completely compatible with older images and laptops.

QLogic Drivers:

From the 'HBA Selection' column, click on the HBA model you are using.

QLA2200f

This is a 1Gb HBA. At this screen, click on Windows 2000 and select Windows 2000 MS Certified Driver v 8.1.5.15 (269824 bytes), click on download. This driver works with Win2000 or Win XP.

QLA2310f

This is a 2Gb HBA. At this screen, click on Windows XP Professional 32 bit v 9.1.0.11 (700473 bytes), click on download.

On this page, the Win 2000 driver is the same driver as the Win XP driver.

Adaptec Drivers:

Your CSE Laptop's operating system will have the current Adaptec drivers,,, i.e HVD 2944uw, LVD 29160.

Note: Check the date on the Adaptec LVD 29160 driver. Must be 3/19/2002 v6.2.0.0 or higher for Windows XP.

• You should now have all the needed drivers to run the SCSI/Fibre ToolBox with the Magma PCI Extension Box.
