Description
The SL8500 was designed as a non stop 24x7 Library, and the hardware Audit is a design feature of the SL8500:
The Door is designed to stay closed and the Various CAPs and access panels are designed to give the necessary access to the Librarys contents.

Whenever the Door is opened and closed, it forces a hardware Audit of the contents of the Library.

There is no way to disable it.

NOTE: The hardware Audit takes all four LSMs offline for about 20 minutes for a Standard modle and up to 45 mins if it has expansions.

The Audit needs LMU access to complete and will cause HSC to not fully initialize until the audit is complete and the LMU is released.

Steps to Follow
No. the Hardware Audit that occurs whenever the Door is opened cannot be bypassed.
