Description
This document addresses how to locate a part number.

Steps to Follow
Part numbers for Oracle/STK, Tape/Library Products can be found in various locations and applications depending on when the product was released. The following information should resolve most part inquiries:
Configuration Control Document:

The CCD provides Model numbers, Features, Documentation Manual PNs, External cable PNs, Accessories, Structure Kit info, Conversion Bill numbers, etc. Refer to 1015196.1 to access CCDs and how to pull up the proper product.

Illustrated Parts Catalog:

The IPC is provided for many of the tape and library products. These include 97xx libraries, L180/700/1400 libraries, 44xx/93xx/55xx libraries, T10000 and 9x40 drives. New and OEM products do not have an IPC manual to reference.

The IPC manuals are found on the Customer Resource Center. Refer to Online Docs for accessing the IPC manuals.

These manuals provide figures and part numbers of each product.

NOTE: All PNs in the IPC are not available through the Oracle Parts System. If the part being requested is not available, use the Non-Bookable Part Request Tool (NOPRT) found in TapeSupport under Tools.

Replaceable Parts Catalogs:

Replaceable Parts Catalogs have been created for SLxxxx series library products. These manuals are found on the Customer Resource Center. Refer to Online Docs to access these manuals. The catalog provides part numbers, pictures and removal replacement instructions for most parts.

Should the parts search from the above resources be unsuccessful, contact Tape Hardware Support for further assistance through proper escalation procedures.
