Description
Can you use VLAN tagging over the two 10x100x1000 Ethernet ports on-board of the V20z and other Sun[TM] Workstations or Servers ?

Steps to Follow
Yes. The v20z has 2 bge interfaces on-board.
VLAN tagging (IEEE 802.1Q) is implemented in bge and gld
starting via Solaris[TM] 9 Operating System Feature Patch

It is supported by the following minimum releases:

- Feature Patch Solaris[TM] SPARC:
112233-11 SunOS 5.9: Kernel Patch (delivers both bge and gld)

- Feature Patch Solaris[TM] x86:
116485-03 SunOS 5.9_x86: Broadcomm Gigabit Ethernet (BGE) Driver
112234-11 SunOS 5.9_x86: Kernel Patch (required as it delivers the gld changes)

- Solaris has bge VLAN tagging support built in starting with Solaris[TM] 9 4/04 (Solaris 9 Update 6)

This is applicable for the following Sun Workstations or Servers, also:
Sun Fire[tm] V210, Sun Fire[TM] V240, Sun Blade[TM] 1500, Sun Blade[TM] 2500, Sun Fire[TM] V40z, Sun Java[TM] Workstation W1100z, Sun Java[TM] Workstation W2100z.
