Description
As per new ses 1102 FW, Midplane sensors are not read by ses. This is changed in design by DotHill. Instead, those values are substituted by a calculation from IOM temperature sensors. Refer to internal section for more details.

Steps to Follow
Output with ses 1080 note the values for midplane Temp 0 to 5.

Internal Comments
Refer Bug ID 6442784 Evaluation section as why this design change has been done.

It is done to avoid polling the LM75C midplane temperature sensors which

are subject to "lockup" (chip design flaw) which in turn locks up the

I2C busses. By substituting the values from the IOM sensors, no one has

to re-write any scripts that performed enclosure monitoring. The

Midplane sensors are NOT needed for over-temp protection and the IOM

sensors will detect any over-temp condition long before the midplane

sensors would have.

Upcomming SES 1103 is being tested to
Substituted values from IOM temp Sensor to do the following:

IF IOM sensor temp is equal to, or greater than 17C, then IOMtmpSnsr -6C

Else, if IOMtmpSnsr is less than 17C, +2C.

To prevent the bogus Midplane sensor values from causing an

Over-temp event i.e. the midplane hi-temp is 55C but the IOM limit is

60C. Same for the lo-temp, we did not want bogus midplane temps to

trigger below 0C event.
