Description
When upgrading from older MIRE releases, the order that patches are installed is critical.

Steps to Follow
When upgrading a Sun StorageTek[SM] 6320 the order of patch upgrades is critical under certain conditions. The problem is that Online Disk firmware upgrades are not supported until Array firmware 3.2.0 (MIRE 1.3.3).
Therefore, when upgrading from Array firmware 3.1.x (MIRE 1.2.x) to Array firmware 3.2.x (MIRE 1.3.x) the Patches must be applied in the following order in order:

1) Apply Service Processor Patches.

2) Apply Array firmware patches.

3) Apply Disk firmware patches.

The Storade GUI, under:

Manage -> Service -> Revision Maintenance -> Create Patch Report -> Select Patches

will provide check boxes to allow the individual components to be selected. Be sure to install them in the order described above. Do not select the "Apply All Devices" button.

Comment: Very useful doc for 6320 upgrades. If the patch order isn't followed then the customer could suffer downtime.
