Description
L180/L700 Media Check/CAP Audit
In code level 3.8.01, 3.9.00 and 3.10.00, the CAP audit function is tied to the Media check option in the library configuration menu. These functions will be separated in the first code release after 3.10.00. In these 3 releases of code if an automatic cap audit is desired, the Media check option must be turned on in the library configuration menu on the OP Panel. The Media check option can be turned on without having to re-ipl the library; however, once it is enabled it can only be disabled from the library configuration menu.

Steps to Follow
'''L180/700 Media Check / CAP Audit '''
In code level 3.8.01, 3.9.00 and 3.10.00, the CAP audit function is tied to the Media check option in the library configuration menu. These functions will be separated in the first code release after 3.10.00. In these 3 releases of code if an automatic CAP audit is desired, the Media check option must be turned on in the library configuration menu on the OP Panel. The Media check option can be turned on without having to re-ipl the library; however, once it is enabled it can only be disabled from the library configuration menu.

During normal operation, if the library detects media incorrectly oriented in the CAP, the CAP door will open to allow the problem to be corrected during which time the library returns to normal operations.

During an IPL or Access door open and closed, with media check enabled, if the library detects media incorrectly oriented in either the CAP or a cell, the media must be fixed via the access door, before the IPL can complete. When a media error is detected, the message on the OP Panel says that media check can be disabled by pressing "Select". This option is not enabled in code levels 3.09.01 and 3.10.00 but will again be in the first release after 3.10.00.
