Description
If the Administrator has configured the 5310 to generate email notification, during the course of normal operation of the SE5310, the administrator may see
email messages generated by the 5300EU indicating that there is a critical error and that write-cache has been disabled. These messages are NOT always generated. They will only be seen when the 5300EU undergoes a battery test cycle AND the test cycle indicates that a battery recharge is required. See the following for further details:

Ctlr 1 Battery Pack Power Normal
Course of Action:

Every 25 hours, the 5300EU initiates a battery test cycle. This pair of
email notifications indicates that during the battery test cycle, the battery
in controller 1 is undergoing a recharge cycle. This 25 hour timeframe is not
changable by the user.
The Battery Management Controller utilizes an intelligent charger
integrated circuit (IC). This means that the battery charger is utra-fast
and microprocessor controlled, as opposed to a manual battery charger.
The charger IC is configured as a pulsed current charger with two charging
modes:
High current charge mode: The charging current is regulated at 0.72
Amps until the cell voltage rises to 4.94 V. This mode is typically
seen when a new or discharged battery is installed in the array.
Low current pulsed charge mode: The charging current is removed
until the battery voltage falls to 4.66 V. Charging current is then
restored and regulated at 0.72 Amps until the battery voltage once
again rises to 4.94 V. This cycle is repeated indefinitely. This
is the typical operating mode of the charger circuit.
When the voltage in the battery drops below the 4.66 V threshold, write-cache
is disabled, the first message is generated and the Battery Management Controller activates the low current pulsed charge mode. When the battery voltage rises above 4.94 V, the charging is complete, charging current is removed, write-cache is enabled and the second message is generated.
If there are write-cache disabled/enabled messages and recharge cycles, reported with every battery test cycle (every 25 hours) the controller battery may require replacement.

Comment: You say they may see this email. This is true or will they see the email. If it is a will, you should say that.

At the end you suggest that if you see this too often you should replace the batteries. I know there will be questions about what is too often. Suggest you either give some sort of guidelines or declare how often is normal to see this email. Every 25 hours? Is there a way to disable it short of disabling email?
