This process was established to maintain our service levels and not to produce duplicate SSCC NVRAMs for customers who simply wanted a spare NVRAM just
in case of failure.
The Sun-badged Sun Support service representative (SSSR) will first acknowledge that a replacement SSCC NVRAM is required for the customer. In addition, the SSSR will insure that the SSCC NVRAM is destroyed. If the SSCC NVRAM has been
lost, the SSSR will insure that the Customer is aware that the original SSCC NVRAM should NOT be used if it is found at a later date, as the use of two
identical SSCC NVRAMs will result in network errors and problems.
The SSSR will then obtain the customer system's Host-id and MAC address and
will submit an e-mail requesting a replacement SSCC NVRAM be programmed with
with the customer system's existing MAC Address and Host-id.

The SSCC NVRAM will be manufactured as per the details specified in APPENDIX A.
The total expected turnaround time from receipt of email requesting a replacement SSCC NVRAM to delivery
is approximately 24 hours.
