Goal

C4/C2 - SNMP/MIB Support

The Oracle/StorageTek[TM] C4 Tape Library is OEM from Quantum's PX502 tape library. The C2 Tape Library is also OEM from Quantum and is known as a scratch loader. As such Oracle/Sun[TM] does not provide the SNMP MIB file for the C4 library.

Solution

Steps to Follow
Access to MIB files for C2 and C4 libraries.

The only MIB file which provides support for the Sun StorageTek C4 is available from Quantum for the PX502 library.

To obtain a copy of the MIB file you must download Quantum's SNMP Integration CD, To perform this:

Goto Quantum's PX502 Product page.
--> scroll to Support and select Software Downloads
--> scroll to Diagnostics and Utilities and select SNMP Integration CD

Review the PDF document for details on how to integrate the Quantum MIB into your SNMP environment.

The MIB file is attached to this document and supports both C2 and C4.
