Goal

The purpose of the document is to describe how to collect a Solution Extract(extractor) for a StorEdge[TM] 6920 Array, for troubleshooting hardware and software issues on the array.

Solution

  1. Log into the Service Processor.  If you cannot log into the array, please reference <> Troubleshooting StorEdge 6920[TM] Browser and sscs(1M) Access Problems
  2. Click Storage Diagnostic Automated Environment
  3. Click Administration
  4. Click Utilities
  5. Click Solution Extract
  6. Click Extract Button
  7. Once complete, click the Download link to download the bundle to your local system.
If using 2.x (system1) version of software select the following tabs:
Monitor
Utilities
Solution Extract
Start Extract

/opt/SUNWstade/sysbin/se_extract -r -d 2 -b
It will create a tar file and a logfile of the command execution in the /var/opt/SUNWstade/DATA/Download/Solution directory.
