Description
The purpose of this document is to provide basic steps for profile deletion for the 6920 array, via the Browser User Interface(BUI) or sscs Command Line Interface(CLI).

Content will be limited to a basic usage using the CLI or BUI interfaces
for deleting profiles, and provide help with some usage failure scenarios
for this activity. Consider reviewing some of the following documents if you
are looking to perform actions beyond the scope of this document:

Steps to Follow
Validating Sun StorEdge[TM] 6920 Profile Deletion:

A. Validate that the profile is not a factory profile

Verify the type of profile. If it is listed as a Type of Factory, it cannot be deleted from the system. Reference document document <Document: 1007159.1> Validating Profile State and Status on a StorEdge 6920 [TM]

If the type of the profile is not Factory, continue to Step B.

B. Validate that the profile is not In Use

Verify the status of the profile. Reference document <Document: 1007159.1> Validating Profile State and Status on a StorEdge 6920 [TM]

If the Status shows In Use, then there is at least one Storage Pool
still using the profile, and must be deleted before the profile can be removed.

Reference document <Document: 1009823.1> Validating StorEdge(TM) 6920 Pool Deletion

If the Profile Status is Not In Use, continue Step C.
