Description
V20z and V40z support Linux and Solaris_x86.

Different cards are supported on the two Operating Systems.
This document hints to a matrix of which OS supports which cards.

Steps to Follow
The supported card matrix is published on the following web site:

v20z:
http://www.sun.com/servers/entry/v20z/optioncards.html

v40z:
http://www.sun.com/servers/entry/v40z/optioncards.html

It lists the supported cards and links to the drivers
(if not delivered with the OS).

See also the Sun Fire V20z and Sun Fire V40z Servers Release Notes
delivered with the system.

Internal Comments
System Handbook supported card lists:

v20z:
http://sunsolve.central/handbook_internal/Systems/SunFireV20z/components.html

v40z:
http://sunsolve.central/handbook_internal/Systems/SunFireV40z/components.html

For X9273A, because of AMD Errata #56, there are some restrictions
to the operation in the 133 MHz slot.
These restrictions apply for PCI-X and BIOS, so they are OS independent
(Linux same as Solaris). Check

Comment: Can I ask were you got this information from, as for my understanding that we do provide linux drivers for at least one of these cards.

3150A 501-5902 GigaSwift Ethernet Cat 5 UTP
3151A 501-5524 GigaSwift Ethernet MMF Fiber

Sun GigaSwift Ethernet Driver Linux 1.4 are available for these card which would mean that we support these cards on linux, please provide detials
of were this data comes from so I can confirm that it is correct.

Passing back to draft as at least it will need to be changed to include this, information, if you are not using a document as your base then you need
to confirm that the content is correct for each card.

Please email me with the details from which you gathered this information to [email protected]
