Symptoms

Getting error 6109 in the drive after a firmware upgrade.
FSC6109
- This drive does not contain the key needed to decrypt this tape.
The ID of the missing key can be viewed from this drive using the VOP program.
The ID has also been written to the Operational Key Token (OKT).
Connect the OKT to the Key Management Station (KMS) and view the error log for error 6109.

Changes

Upgraded drive firmware.

Cause

Cannot get keys from the OKT.

Solution

Build an EKT token that has the failing drive in it and re-enroll the drive.
