Missing vendor type in frame information.

Frame Information:
Frame Serial Number: 559000100310
World Wide Name (WWN): 500104f0008df435
Vendor:

Below is an example of what is expected:

SERVICE>> frameinfo print
Frame Information:
Frame Serial Number: 559000201953
World Wide Name (WWN): 500104f0009cf587
Vendor: STK

Cause

Investigation has shown that the Vendor ID value has not been set on machines that do not display the License Management option.

Solution

The SLC License Management option depends on the Vendor ID of the machine.
The vendor string is written in the motherboard of the machine during the manufacturing process. If the machine is a "STK" or "SUN" vendor type, then the License Management option is displayed.

This problem has been resolved with 1373 code in  the SL500.

Note
: The code is available on the USR under SL500.  Only available to Service Personnel.

Taken from 1373 release notes under Version Fixes, Sev 2, Fix 3a:

3. Licensing Fixes
a) Certain older libraries did not have the vendor string set correctly – resulting in the SLC Licensing tab not being displayed as well as general licensing failures. This occurs on older libraries initially shipped with 1026 level of code (or older) and all of the code upgrades of 1048, 1068, 1070, or 1092 have been skipped.
A machine in this state is identified by the vendor string being blank in either the CLI frameinfo display or the SLC Properties vendor field. This release correctly sets the vendor string to “STK” on Sun branded machines
