Symptoms
When the Sun Modular Datacenter is to be installed in an area where the outside
temperature is too cold for servers to power on, the following procedure will
get the internal ambient temperature high enough to power on the hardware.

Resolution
Cold starting a Sun Modular Datacenter.
When the ambient temperature is lower then the servers minimum power on rating use the following procedure to raise the temperature inside the Sun Modular datacenter

- Shut off water.
- Turn on fan power supplies.
- Shut the doors of the Sun Modular Datacenter.
- Tell sensor module to run fans at full speed. *

* Included with version 1.2.2 Software is a script on the EMS called '/opt/local/bin/coldStart.sh'. This script will
tell the sensors to run the fans at full speed until an ambient tempeture of 5 degrees is reached. The target tempurture
can be changes when running the script to any value from 5 through 25 degrees C. For example, to change the target
temperature to 7 degrees C:

$ /opt/local/bin/coldStart.sh 7

With the doors closed on the Sun Modular Datacenter the ~8KW (from the fans running at full speed) load will heat up
the interior. Power on servers when the ambient 'power on' temperature is reached, and the recommended climitization
period for that product.
