Symptoms
The customer was trying to mirror his 2 internal disk using the hardware raid controller built into the motherboard of the V440.
Every time the customer ran the utility to mirror he got this error  config_change_state: Error 0: .

     bash-2.03# /usr/sbin/raidctl -c c1t0d0 c1t1d0

     config_change_state: Error 0

     bash-2.03# /usr/sbin/format

     Searching for disks...done

     AVAILABLE DISK SELECTIONS:

The customer not knowing had the c1t1d0 initialized under Veritas Volume Manager.

     #/usr/sbin/vxdisk list

Resolution
1. Remove a disk from Veritas Volume Manager control with this command.
     #/usr/sbin/vxdisk rm <c t d >
     #/usr/sbin/vxdctl enable

The disk he will have to remove is not part of rootdg. The disk is
- - online and is intialized but not part of a disk group. The customer will not distroy a rootdg disk group because he still has a disk in rootdg.
Please publish this doc.
