Symptoms

VTSS reporting errors
VTCS issues message SLS6675E
SLS6675E VTSS:nnnnnnnn VTD:dddd CONFIGURATION ERROR RC=00000004 SUBSYSTEM INFO:zzzzz1/zzzzz2/zzzzz3
The subsystem name zzzzz1 in SLS6675E does not match the VTSS NAME defined in the VTCS Config
VTSS name zzzzz1 is residual from previous name and/or owner

Cause

The subsystem name between the VTSS box and the VTCS Config do not match. The subsystem name in the box is incorrect. This could occur at a DR site where the same hardware is used by different customers using different naming techniques. This could also occur if a customer is changing the name of their existing production VTSS box or installing a new box that had previously been at a different site.

Solution

Contact Oracle and have an SR created to send the local FSE on site  to verify whether the the name in the VTSS box is incorrect. If it is, the CSE can reset the name.

** The following information should not be performed without first conferring with Oracle Backline VTSS support. **
Resetting the name of the VTSS can be dangerous if done incorrectly.

Using the VTSS LOP (Local Operator Panel) or DOP, set the subsystem name to all 9's and then cycle HSC.  During VTCS initialization, the VTSS will pick up the correct subsystem name from the CONFIG in the CDS.
