Cause

FSC3E1D: Drive detected Media error. FRU's = cart, 79%; drive 20%; logical error 1%.
FSC3E2C: Drive wait for load failed. FRU's = drive 90%; logical error 10%.

Library operator panel shows drive status as "cartridge in," but drive never fully mounts the tape
Bad media resulted in load failure.

Resolution Steps
1. Remove cartridge from drive.

 

2. Inspect cartridge for any damage. If it is damaged remove cartridge from the library.

3. If cartridge seems to be okay, test by mounting tape on another drive. If problem persists remove cartridge from the library.

4. Test mounting on drive with known good cartridge. Replace drive if this fails.
