Symptoms
Customer is unable to browse differential NDMP backups for restore.

Only Full NDMP backups build the client index.  Subsequent level 1-9 backups are not seen in the recovery index.

Resolution
To be able to browse backup history to include incremental entries, 2 variables have to be set to YES on the Sun StorEdge[TM] 5310 array.

Connect to the SE5310 array via telnet, type admin at the [menu] prompt and enter the administrator password!

Then set the following variables to YES :

set ndmp tar.pathnode=yes
set ndmp dump.pathnode=yes
ndmp save

Now differential NDMP backups are correctly recorded in client file indexes.

Relief/Workaround

nwadmin -> Save Set -> recover
